Ice cream on holiday all inclusive

Probs a silly question, I’m on holiday in the canaries at an all inclusive hotel and 27wks preggo. The hotel puts out big white tubs of various ice cream flavours with a scoop, and then you serve yourself a cone or bowl of ice cream. (They also do the little pre made tubs out at the snack bar but I haven’t eaten those!) I assume these big ice cream tubs are safe? I know gelato/soft serve mr whippy style can be a bit dodgy but this should be fine right? I’ve had a cone past two days…

Usually they’ve got enough preservatives to keep it safe. Enjoy yourself!

I would avoid Mr Whippy type ice cream and McDonald’s type milk shakes in case the machines haven’t been cleaned thoroughly.
i would expect tubs of ice cream to be safe.

@TheDevilWearPrimarni yes haven’t eaten any my whippy style or any McDonald McFlurrys/shakes. These are just white tubs, kinda look like the big walls ones you get at the supermarket, that you dish out yourself with a metal scoop.

I didn't even know ice cream was supposed to be in any way a problem to eat, pregnant or not. I could eat a tonne of quality gelato. Although I avoid cheap ice cream because it tastes so artificial to me.

@Doitrightnow im not sure actually as I had a Quick Look at the nhs page and it says so long as pasturised which most ice cream is, certainty in a hotel, it’s all good. Doesn’t say anything about soft serve but I’ve defo heard that before!
