Sudden horrific groin pain 39+ weeks pregnant

Hi all,

Currently 39+4 weeks pregnant and this evening I've started with the most horrific groin pain.
It's had me in tears and I'm struggling to walk or lift my leg and I'm whimpering like a baby with every movement.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Could it be a sign labour is near?

This is baby number 3 but never had anything like this before nor have I ever been this pregnant before!

Any pregnancy pain that has you almost immobile and in tears I’d say warrants a hospital visit.
This doesn’t sound like normal labour pains starting to me?
I would suggest get you and baby checked out at the hospital if you can, good luck ❤️

Sounds like pelvic girdle pain (pgp). It'll go after you have the baby. I had it from about 24 weeks. Horrific but it disappears immediately.

And my first DD wasn’t born until 41+6 and I never experienced a pain that left me in tears if I tried to walk 🙁
