Ectopic pregnancy fear

Hi I'm about 5 weeks pregnant, due for an early scan this Wednesday. I'm absolutely terrified due to 3 MMCs when I was 21 I'm now 25. Since around implantation 5dpo I've been in a and e with burning pelvic pain all across, treated with antibiotics, pain went but still get the occasional left side pressure on one side and pain comes and goes. My boobs feel way too sore for only being 5 weeks, had a scan a month ago and told there could be a potential fluid blockage from infection following termination years ago. I'm absolutely terrified, I don't want bad news but I'm convinced it's ectopic. My HCG was 84 Mon, and then Wednesday went up to 284 so almost tripled. Does anyone have any experience with this. Said they're looking for a uterine pregnancy. I really regret my abortions and hate myself. One side of my pelvis the left also feels way tougher than my right.

Hey I had a suspected ectopic in December 2023, it did turn out to be a pregnancy of unknown location which I miscarried naturally.

However, they suspected an ectopic as I had tested positive on something like day 43 of my cycle then had short very light bleeding which I thought may just be a light period, however I tested again once bleeding stopped and was still testing positive. Was referred to the EPU and the day before I was due an early scan I started spotting again and had real sharp pain in my side.

had a scan and they couldn’t find a pregnancy in my womb at all, and I had emergency surgery as they were certain it was ectopic. Had surgery wasn’t ectopic but they suspected at some point something had been stuck in one of my tubes due to a very small kink in it which had subsequently moved, next few weeks my HCG levels were monitored and despite and initial increase the days after surgery I started bleeding more and HCG levels dropped and I miscarried completely.

from what you describe I think you may be ok as pains during early pregnancy are normal, I’m saying this as someone who has just found out I’m pregnant again following the above issues as we stopped trying for a while and although I’ve had no bleeding tested positive day before AF was due I’m still getting aches and twinges which have panicked me but from reading these can be normal and I’ve had no bleeding.

try not to worry too much and whatever happens it isn’t your fault these things just happen sometimes. Try to be positive as much as you can xx
