When does morning sickness tail off

Hello I’ve had really bad morning sickness this time, I couldn’t even get out of bed last weekend. However this week symptoms seem to have vastly improved. This morning I was sick but only once. I’m hoping it’s the placenta taking over, but worried it could be a mmc. Anyone know if 9.5 weeks is too early for
this? I had a scan at 7 weeks and baby was fine at the time x

Symptoms can come and go so no one can give exact answer. Some never have morning sickness so not too early.

It is very normal for symptoms to come and go, especially in the first trimester. It doesn't have any bearing on the pregnancy.

As pp said, some people don't have MS at all, some have it all the way through, it varies massively.

With my first it started around 7 weeks, tailed off by 10 weeks but then came back with a vengeance from 14-18/20 weeks.

With DD2, I've had on and off MS since 5.5 weeks and am still throwing up now at 39 weeks!

I felt completely fine for one day when I was around week 9, too. Suddenly felt full of life and energy and hungry for the first time in 3 weeks. The next day I spent the day vomiting, not eating a thing and staying in bed for the day. After about week 10 I felt a little better until it suddenly got worse at week 12. Eased off again after a week of vomiting, but was still quite ill. Finally feeling better now at week 18. But my mam said she felt fine at week 12, my grandma was sick for 6 months, and my aunt said she wasn't sick at all. Every pregnancy is different, but the ups and downs of morning sickness, I think, are quite normal. Worried me too sometimes, though, when I felt fine, but honestly I wish I just took advantage of those days.

Had terrible morning sickness with DD. Eased up in the second trimester but never fully went away. This time round I’ve had NOTHING. Scan is showing everything looking as it should do, so MS or lack of literally means nothing.

With my son it came and went in intensity until it suddenly stopped at 14 weeks.

This time it stopped suddenly at 9 weeks. I’m now 35 weeks along. I went from being sick 6-8 times throughout the day and nausea in between to nothing the next day.

I had terrible morning sickness literally from day one. I was on anti sickness tablets which really helped but I felt hungover and utterly exhausted.

this finally got better around 14/15 weeks.

now I have horrific heartburn 😆

I was a bit better at 8 weeks, loads better at 10 weeks and completely fine at 12 weeks.

It varies and has never been a sign of a healthy pregnancy or an issue .
