B12 deficiency at 25 weeks and low ferritin

I’m 25 weeks pregnant and was advised I have a B12 deficiency and low ferritin levels! I’m panicking and really worried about my baby and the possibly neurological effects and Neural Tube defects (I stupidly googled it). I have to start B12 injections first thing next week. Is there anything else I can do or get checked to help and to put my mind at ease?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Join the B12 wake up group on facebook. Excellent advice for deficiency. They help with co-factors too such as ferritin too

Thank you, I will!

I had really really low b12 not discovered until 36 weeks pregnant (when my anaemia was getting worse despite iron tabs). I was put on injections immediately. Baby is now 5 months and seems totally fine!
