miscarriage or implantation bleeding?

i was due on my period 2 days ago. anyway yesterday i had cramping along with severe diarrhoea and nausea. I took a pregnancy test this morning and there was a faint positive line. This afternoon i have started spotting, followed by cramps but not unbearable.
I have contacted my GP for a midwife appointment next week, but i’m really worried i’m having a miscarriage. I already have a little boy who is 5 and this is my first pregnancy since having him

My first symptoms and the reason I tested before my period was due was diarrhoea and nausea, and I got a positive test too. Best advice at this time would be test again in a couple of days and see if your tests get darker x

The cramps could be due to the diarrhoea. What colour is the spotting? I've had 3 MC's and also noticed implantation bleed twice. Both times, it was a tiny, yellow/brown, 2mm speck on wiping. Nothing on underwear and nothing on a 2nd wipe. Each MC has been spotting pinky/red, then bright red like a period. Its hard to say whether its a chemical or not.

I'd be very surprised if the midwifery team would see you. I didn't get my 1st appointment till 10 weeks in 1 pregnancy! Do you have an EPU near you? Some areas you can self-refer, others require a GP to referral. Wishing you all the best.
