Just wondered if im working this out right as a few close family members don't believe that I would have got a negative test when I did. Now I'm worrying that I've got this all wrong 😭😭

Last period was 23rd January until 25th January.

Cycles last 35 days(ish) so predicted ovulation around 12th/13th/14th February. (I don't know the exact date but it was around this time)

Next period due: 26th February which obviously didn't appear.

Tested about 5 days after missed period and negative. Tested again at 12 days after missed period and negative. used cheap strip tests

3 weeks after missed period is when I got my positive. used a regular supermarket test so I'm predicted to be 8 weeks and 2 days.

I’d want to get checked over if I was you, speak to your GP potentially, are you saying you were essentially 8 weeks pregnant before you got a positive test? That would be very unusual unless you had a very late ovulation in which case you aren’t actually 8 weeks but are less if that makes sense

@Mrsttcno1 yeah so I tested 5 days and 12 days post missed period and got negatives so just left it at that, then started to get symptoms which are not typical of me at all so tested again around 23 days post missed period and got my positive.

I just dont know when else I could have ovulated as I'm pretty good at knowing when I do. I have clear signs that it's ovulation 🤦🏼‍♀️

I've got an appointment at GP in April so I guess I will just have to wait and see! THANK YOU

You may have ovulated later than you think - I am 10 days behind what LMP would say my due date should be (now 39 weeks)

I think officially you're 8 weeks, going off LMP, with a due date of 30/10. Cycle length isn't taken into account despite the NHS website calculator asking for it, something I've never understood. However I'd bet money that when you have the dating scan, the due date will be delayed and you'll be told you're 10-11 weeks, not 12 like anticipated from LMP.
Have you referred yourself to midwife? It's usually them who makes the scan referral. GP won't be able to date your pregnancy any more accurately, nobody will without a scan.
(I am an NHS GP).
