Bleeding

Just looking for some advice, I’m 7 weeks pregnant and for the last week have been spotting. Was seen at the EPU yesterday and they scanned me and said that everything looks okay, the gestational sac is well surrounded and no bleeding around it, a good looking yolk sac and to return in a week to see if we can see embryo and heartbeat. They’ve put me on progesterone pessaries to see if that helps. Just looks for some reassurance that there is still hope. I know they’ve said it’s not bleeding around the sac but where else is the blood coming from, not heavy to go on a pad but it is there when I wipe after the toilet. It’s really triggering as I had a miscarriage end of last year and now I’m in a little panic.

Were you tracking ovulation? Do you normally have regular cycles? 7 weeks seems late to not see an embryo yet. But obviously if you weren’t tracking you could be earlier than the official dating which uses your last period.

I had two miscarriages and then with the following pregnancy I bled heavily for 10 days straight passing huge clots even though on a scan they could see no evidence of bleeding. She's now 6 and winding her sister up something fierce.
As PP said, it's unusual for there to not be a hb and a fetal pole at 7 weeks. Is there a possibility you are maybe a week behind?
