Bleeding at 5w+3 days

So I found out I am pregnant on Monday the 17th, making me 5+3 today. However since Wednesday I have had a small amount of bleeding, yesterday morning it increased and this morning it was basically like I was having my period (dark red, heavy flow). I haven’t passed any clots or had any pain. I’ve done some more PTs and the line is definitely more faded than it was when I first did it on Monday. I’ve basically accepted that I am no longer pregnant, however the midwife has done a EPU referral for me and said they may want to take some bloods to confirm either way. They won’t contact me until Monday now as it’s Friday today, so it just kind of feels like prolonging the inevitable and potentially having blood tests to confirm what I already know.

has this happened to anyone else and if so what was the outcome?

So sorry you are going through this OP.

I hope I am wrong but it does sound like you need to prepare yourself that you've had a chemical pregnancy.

Hi OP. I'm going through similar at the moment, should be 4w+5 but have had bleeding since Wednesday (like a light period but with clots). EPU did bloods on Wednesday to check HCG levels and I had a follow up today to see where they're at now so waiting for a phonecall this evening with the result and next step but deep down I think I know the outcome but hoping I'm wrong. Don't know why I posted this really as you asked for an outcome and I don't know mine yet but hope it helps anyway to know you're not alone ❤️
