7 weeks 5 days - lower left side sharp stabbing/ stitch- like pain

Hi all,

Has anyone else experienced pains like this in early pregnancy? It woke me out of my sleep last night and it's still going although it comes and goes.

Has me a bit worried.

Have you had an early scan already? If not, I’d get in touch with your local early pregnancy unit and explain your symptoms as they will probably want to scan you to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. A&E if you don’t have an early pregnancy unit.

It might be absolutely nothing at all, but if you are even the slightest bit worried about an ectopic, please get checked out!

Thanks for the response. I should have clarified in my email, I had a viability scan at 7 weeks and we heard a strong heartbeat!

Could just be everything shifting around

It sounds like normal pain - just implantation and everything being stretched. I had it especially with my first, until around 12 weeks
