My partner and I had unprotected sex this cycle. My period is normally 5-6 days of medium-heavy bleeding. This cycle however my period has arrived on time but its considerably lighter than normal. Its mostly been brown blood on the pad but has been some bright red when wiping and in the toilet. I am on period day 3 now and on the pad theres tiny amounts of brown like discharge but when I wipe theres quite a bit of brown slimy discharge. Ive also had cramping. Ive been feeling a bit sick and not as hungry. I have done a test this morning which showed not pregnant. Is this just a really weird period? We are hoping to try and concieve soon so Im paranoid now that somethings wrong with me or I am in like perimenopause or something! I am 31 and never been pregnant. Ive read about implantation bleeding but surely if I was pregnant this would happen earlier than day period was due and Id test positive. All very strange and out the normal for me. Has anyone had similar experiences and what was the cause? Thanks.
