Baby's stomach on ultrasound

Hi,
Today I had my growth scan (31+4), and the sonographer was unable to see the baby's stomach bubble.

I was scanned, sent out, scanned, sent out and scanned again, and even the final time being scanned (50 mins after the first scan) they still could not see baby's stomach bubble.

I am completely stressed out and worrying that there is complications with our double rainbow baby, and I've got to wait to be contacted for a scan by fetal medicine hopefully this week.

Does anyone have any experience with this, and what were your outcomes? - trying not to Google, but let's be honest, it's everyone's go to!

Thank you

I don’t know what a stomache bubble is, is that the black blob that shows they are drinking fluid?

Could it have been the positioning of the baby/the angle? I only say this because I had a scan at 30 weeks where the femur suddenly measured less than 3rd centile in that scan (I was there a while and moving positions) but then two weeks later it was back to 50th. The doctor said it was likely just an error or view of the scan/position of the baby because femurs don’t grow like that. I was worried for a fortnight though.

I hope it ends up being ok for you and your baby. Also hopefully other people come along with similar stories to yours.

Try not to worry. It's pretty normal to need to redo scans - babies aren't the most cooperative of patients and they wiggle themselves into some very odd positions in there
