Hi all, just wondering about the accuracy of these tests. I’m 7 weeks on Monday but the test is still showing me at 2-3 weeks. Really worried x

Hi,
I took one the other day at 5+1 and it stayed on 1-2.

trawled the internet in a panic.

I read the following;

  1. they’re shit
  2. they have to be used with FMU (I did mine at 2pm after a 45 min hold)
  3. some people never get their 3+
  4. some people never move past 1-2
  5. some people have seen them go down in weeks and have predicted their miscarriage.
  6. they’re so unreliable they’re banned in the US.

so a mixed bag!! I understand the worry, I’m right there with you.

I have been testing like a maniac and at 5+3 now still don’t have a mega mega dark line on a non digital.

I’ve decided to stop testing. Full stop. It won’t change the outcome and it’s only making me cry!

I wish you all the luck, trust and baby dust xx

I hate them! I bought first response off Amazon as I’ve heard great things about them and it instantly came up positive for me last night, I did another this morning and came up positive again! My partner wanted me to get clear blue so I did, digital is saying negative and there’s a line on the other test saying positive 😒 I’ve gone into abit of a panic mode and have ordered more first response as a peace of mind, I am only like 4 weeks and I didn’t use the ultra early ones. This is my first pregnancy so I am abit panicking about it

Thank you both. Baby dust to us all. Such stressful times. Keep me posted about how you get on xx

Hi,
just to say the first response have a sensitivity of just over 6miu I think which is why y always get a super early positive on them .

to get 1-2 on a digital you need at least 10miu of hcg. And with the clear blue rapids it’s 25miu. So I reckon if you take another digital Monday it’ll say 1-2. Don’t worry! X

Thank you, I do very much appreciate it ❤️ because it’s my first I’m just panicking about everything 🫣 I panicked about not ovulating (which I did) and I also panicked about not catching 😂😒 mind playing tricks on me 😂
I think it’s because too I’ve seen other people like early like me getting something on a digital and I didn’t I think that’s when I started to panic abit 🤔

@F1boxbox I totally get it. This is my second pregnancy, I had a miscarriage in December. I am panicking every day. My lines aren’t really getting darker so I’m not sure hcg is rising like it should.
theyre dark but for 5+3 like I am I’d expect mega dark.

I totally get the pregnancy induced anxiety! But as I said above, nothing we can do will change the outcome. It’s taken me 2 weeks to accept that!

my wife had 2 straight forward pregnancies, neither of us had any real anxiety, we were lucky.

I genuinely wish you all the best, testing frequently doesn’t do your mental health any good, very hypocritical of me to say! But I’m just trying to spare you the stress.

the odds are in your favour so enjoy the process. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months x
