Do I need iodine in pregnancy with subclinical hypothyroid?

I already take levothyroxine but I'm reading conflicting things online about whether I should also be supplementing with iodine.

As long as you’re TSH is under control I wouldn’t worry about adding/needing anything else xxx

Make sure you are having your tsh checked at least once a trimester. My dosage had to go up.

Please don't start adding supplements based on what you read online. There's allot of junk advice out there. You don't need anything additional to levothyroxine and a decent diet. Be sure to get blood tests regularly as thyroid needs can change quickly during pregnancy
