Tripped but didn’t fall

I’m 33 weeks pregnant and missed a step coming down the stairs. I didnt fall but just went forward a bit and didn’t hurt myself. I’ve been keeping an eye on baby’s movements and they seem to be ok. Is it worth contacting midwife or gp? No bleeding or any contractions

I would say no there's no need, you didn't fall.

I'm also third trimester and keep tripping up over nothing! But as long as no impact with the floor/other hard surfaces, you're good.

feeling baby movements on and off but not as regular. My foot just hit the floor forcefully but that was it

I'm that clumsy I trip over fresh air several times a day whether pregnant or not.

Also had low BP in second trimester and actually fainted a couple of times (split my entire chin open on one occasion).

Unless you have fallen onto your bump, noticed a change in movements or have some other concern with bleeding for example, I can't see any reason why you would contact anyone.....

If you're worried about baby's movements it's always best to be checked, but a little stumble like what you're describing won't have caused any harm

Just the trip then not an issue but if you feel baby's movements are not as regular then you should call maternity triage and go down to be checked to be on the safe side.

Go in for reduced movements if you think they are reduced. Not from the stumble or for any reason other than being reduced. That is a reason and enough to be checked.

I went in yesterday for them (34+3) and felt movements during the scan and I’m happy enough but they were reduced throughout the day before going in vs usual.
