You’ll need an DNA test. Either way do you want to be pregnant?

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 12/03/2025 20:58

I'd say it's your exs

Woofle · 12/03/2025 21:01

You’ll need a DNA test when baby is here

Woofle · 12/03/2025 21:01

If you choose to continue the pregnancy that is

ManchesterCity11 · 12/03/2025 21:05

im undecided what to do as the pregnancy came unexpectedly and im certain on not having anymore children. Both parties know the truth and DNA will be done if I decide to keep the baby. I’m just asking what people think. Does sperm last 7 days? What’s the possibility? Has anyone got caught pregnant of 7 day sperm?

Most likely result is that your ex husband is the father. You’ll need a DNA test to be 100%.

sel2223 · 12/03/2025 21:08

Were you physically tracking ovulation?

ManchesterCity11 · 12/03/2025 21:12

No. Never tracked ovulation. I’ve tracked my period on the same app for the last year so my cycles have been the same from 31-34 days always on time.

I’d say your ex’s. You can do blood tests at 8 weeks to check dna but the price is hefty x

I've heard that it's possible for sperm to live up to 5 days but if you weren't tracking then it's absolutely impossible to say when exactly you ovulated.
The apps are just based on an average but women can ovulate early or late in their cycle.

Also, no way of knowing your exact gestation without a scan - LMP is based on an average 28 day cycle. I have long cycles with late ovulation and am 10 days behind what LMP says I should be (I'm nearly 38 weeks!)

It's too close to call unfortunately

Vkad · 12/03/2025 21:21

I know someone who got pregnant on day 8 of cycle. It's not impossible and in some people, ovulation happens more than once.

I would ask however, did you use any birth control with either of them? And if yes, what kind?

Depends. Where have you kept it?

Im going to book for an early scan for sound 7/8 weeks and see what they say. Not long to go for you , do you know what your having?

It's only fair on the men to find out, if you decide to go full term that is.

And I wouldn't be offended if they pushed for one either.

I’ve looked at prices online and if we split it it’s still £300 each and under some circumstances we can’t afford that. Heads a mess right now. I feel sorry for both parties it was a mistake. But mistakes happen so we will have to decide what’s best

I’ve read it can “ live” upto 5 days too. But there’s a weak difference in dates. Hoping it’s the ex’s. But undecided whether to keep :(

As I’ve stated previously both men are well aware.
