Positive clear blue

Hi I’m getting very confused. In two days I have used 5 clear blue early detections tests. They were all positive but faint. I haven’t included pictures of these because now that time has passed it looks like a strong positive but it didn’t look that strong in the 5 minute window. I have also taken five first responses and they all say negative.

I did also take a normal clear blue but the doorbell rang so I didn’t check in in the time window so it’s positive and blue but could be an evap.

I just took another clear blue and first response and another faint line on the clear blue and negative first response. How can this be if the first response is more sensitive? Are all the clear blues wrong. Has this happened to anyone else?

That isn’t a positive ClearBlue OP it’s an evap line x

BellaRosex · 12/03/2025 20:42

Sorry but agree with the previous poster that it looks like an evap line or an indent. It's too thin and no colour to it.

Lyratrain · 12/03/2025 20:53

I’m thinking that too in the fact that it’s negatives on others however in person it is blue. Looks grey on the picture. It also came up in two mins and didn’t think evap lines could be that quick. No need to apologise I would rather people were honest. I just didn’t think you could get an evap line that quickly

Just for context in real life it’s a blue as the control line just more faint

@Lyratrain It's so hard to tell from photos. All you can do is just try retesting tomorrow. I've got everything crossed for you!🤞🏻

It really is hard to tell from the pictures. It will be a surprise pregnancy not long after my second where we did have a number of chemical pregnancies before. I have included the other tests for context but they have got darker over time

Oh wow!! OK they definitely do look positive! The third one looks great! Keep testing and wishing baby dust your way x

Thanks. I would have thought so too but the negative first response is really throwing me. Will let you know how I get on

None of those look positive to me. They all look thin like the usual clearblue evap lines.

clearblue do give very blue evap/dye run lines. They are not grey at all.

Mrsttcno1 · 13/03/2025 09:10

I’m sorry OP but they do all look like nasty evap’s to me, they can appear quickly and have colour on ClearBlue. I’d trust the first response

EdgyTealDreamer · 25/06/2025 21:31

Do these look like evaporation lines please? One showed up within 5 minutes, thr other showed up after 10 mins. Both done in the same day. Negative early detection test.
Period due in 2 days.
Thankyou

They do look a little on the thin side but I'm no expert with the blue dye tests!

I’m afraid I agree with the others that the CB are all evaps and not positive sorry. They are far too thin and are notorious for making people think they’re not evaps because they’re blue but unless they’re as thick as the control line then it’s not positive I’m afraid. I would trust an FRER over a CB any day, they are way more reliable. Sending hugs and wishing you luck on your journey, but I’d honestly stop wasting so much money on tests, they’re so expensive! You’d be best off getting some cheap strip tests and then once you get a line on one of those, use a branded test to confirm
