10 weeks pregnancy symptoms

Hi all,

This is my first pregnancy and I find myself googling everything which provides some really scary answers. I’m never sure what to expect so I decided to take the plunge and come on here

  1. during week 8 and 9 I had the WORST heartburn, morning sickness, and breast pain of my life. I am now week 10+2 and have felt my symptoms really die down. I’m getting low level nausea that lasts all day rather than high level with actual vomiting. My breast pain seems to fluctuate but recently more bearable and my heartburn isn’t quite so bad (I have been eating more consistently too) is this usual?
  2. I am crying everyday, like full on sobbing for around half an hour every day when I’m alone, I just sob and nothing seems to trigger it but I can’t stop and I just feel so alone and sad
  3. I cannot stand a lot of smells, but the smell of my husband seems to be the worst every time I’m with him he stinks of tinned tomatoes which usually wouldn’t bother me but I cannot stand how he smells at the moment and I need him to be far away from me.

just some queries as a first time pregnant 26YO

Just to follow up with #1 I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks which showed a strong heartbeat and that little seed was developing very well

It's very common for symptoms to come and go in the first trimester and also common to see some changes around 10-12 weeks as the placenta takes over.

It's also worth remembering that while there may be more and less 'common' symptoms, there really isn't a 'normal'
Every woman and every pregnancy is different.

Nothing you've described is unusual

That’s interesting, I wasn’t aware of the placenta taking over!

thank you very much, sorry for asking such a silly question

It's not a silly question at all, we've all wondered exactly the same at some point.

Good luck with your pregnancy

I felt sick all day and definitely had an aversion to certain fragrances that made me feel even more sick. Also extreme tiredness and actual vomiting. It’s a pretty horrible time to get through.

Should start getting better for you really soon in the second trimester!
