Hi everyone, I could use some support and not sure what to do with myself really.

Around 9pm last night I got into bed and just had a gut feeling to go and check myself in the bathroom. I wiped and saw bright red which startled me. Now when I think about it, it was more watery than a period type blood.

Managed to get my sister over to look after the little one who was asleep and DH and I drove to the hospital at 10pm. They monitored baby for an hour and said that looked normal, that was around midnight. I wasn't seen until 4:30am where they did an internal examination and swap. They've put me onto a ward and room at 5am and said to sleep and that they'll scan me in the morning and take it from there. Blood pressure was normal. But temp is borderline but I think I may have picked up a bug dc had as I felt rough since Monday morning. There is very little if no blood now when I wipe. They will monitor me for 24 hours.

I haven't managed to get any sleep as they come in and out. DH went home to do the morning routine as my sister stayed awake the whole night. He said he'll come back soon - I miss him and my little one. This pregnancy has been so up and down, I was fainting few weeks back and only just started feeling myself.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for really

I really feel for you, you're in the right place and did the right thing getting checked. I'm sure it'll end up being one of those unexplained things, as bleeding often is in pregnancy and hopefully you'll be back with your little one soon x

Oh god what a horrible experience for you, I agree with the pp that you're in the right place and being monitored and looked after is exactly what you need. I really hope you get the all clear today and are able to go home to your family. Sending you lots of best wishes and positive thoughts ❤️

I had this in my last pregnancy OP, they wouldn’t discharge me until I had no bleeding for 24 hours. Never found a cause, no further bleeding in that pregnancy. Hope you are the same x

God that sounds scary, bless you!
Sending a handhold and a hug, hope your scan goes well and everything is OK.

I had a similar experience, it was vasa previa. I had to stay in the hospital and baby was born early but everything was fine.
