Pregnancy Discharge

Currently 24w with my second baby. I know increased discharge is normal during pregnancy but I’m going through multiple liners a day, everyday. Is this normal?

Sorry if TMI, but it sometimes drips down my legs. Like I got out of the shower last week, got dried and put on my dressing gown to get clothes and it literally ran down my leg. Same happens sometimes going to the loo, it can drip down my leg when I pull my underwear down. I know it was absolutely nowhere near as bad as this in my first pregnancy. Just don’t know if it is normal or if it’s something I should mention to the MW?

No foul smell or colour or anything. Just been to the loo and was walking down the stairs and I can feel it come out. It’s absolutely horrid

If I was in your position I'd want to rule out that it wasn't my waters!

Hopefully not and it's just heavy discharge but the fact that it's soaking through liners and trickling down your leg etc sounds alot.

Give the assessment unit a call and put your mind at rest

I have the same thing. Almost clear, no smell, like water consistency but a lot of it. It seems to be getting more as the pregnancy goes on and next week I’ll mention it to the MW just to be sure. To be honest before pregnancy I’ve always had a fair amount of discharge anyway so I’m just putting it down to extra hormones = extra everything!

Was seen this evening, consultant said from pics that they couldn’t rule out it was my waters so done a test and thankfully it’s not. Just a wonderful part of this pregnancy. But glad baby is ok!

@Kaybee1989 hoping mine doesn’t get any worse as my pregnancy progresses, it’s horrendous as it is lol!

Definitely think you did the right thing going and getting checked out.
Pleased it's nothing serious.

@Kaybee1989 there's a test they can do to see if it's your waters or not

This happened to me. It was constant. I got swabbed and turned out I had group B strep as well as thrush.
the GBS was treated while in active labour with IV antibiotics and I was put on a thrush regime while pregnant - this included using a pessary once a week.
ask to be swabbed x

Should add, it all sorted itself after baby was born

Did you have any other symptoms? I’ve none x

No I didn’t. No itch or smell or anything. Just copious amounts of discharge that used to even drip down the loo when my bowels were moving. Sorry tmi I know. Xx
