Me and my partner were together for 8 years, we have a 3 year old together. He broke up with me 2 weeks ago, it was brewing for a while as I could see he was distancing himself from the relationship. We went through a lot together, I stood by him all the way through his ADHD diagnosis, he finally got medicated and that’s when it all went down-hill tbh, no affection, no emotions etc… he doesn’t think him falling out of love with me is anything to do with his medication but honestly he seems to be taking this break up extremely well and I do think the medication is helping him block out his emotions. He is still being the best dad to our child, fast forward to a few days ago, I found out I was pregnant… we always talked about a second child but never actually planned it… I have told him I’m pregnant and he said he is going to be there for me and continue to support me throughout it but I’m just finding it so difficult to deal with as I still love him immensely and wish things were different, I can’t seem to sweep off the feeling of not having him there with me properly throughout this pregnancy and I can’t talk to him and get excited about it how it should have been. How can I get over this break-up when I’m pregnant with his child? I was ready to start moving on until I found out about the pregnancy, he’s free to do what he likes, with who he likes, and I’m tied and feel trapped… I do want this baby before anyone suggests otherwise I just need some tips/advice on how to get through this as I’m constantly crying and feel so lost
