Implantation bleeding?

I had unprotected sex and had cervical mucus the following day. Not sure when ovulation was, but I had very mild cramping 7 days before expected period. This lasted 3 days but not all day. I didn't think much of it other than that it was unusual. On the second day of cramps, 6 days before period, I had a small amount of pink discharge. Then nothing for a day. Today, 4 days before my period the discharge is brown and more noticeable. I normally spot before my period but it's usually bright red and 3 days prior tops. Tests come out negative but I don't have access to the early tests. I haven't had cramps before my period in years.

Any thoughts?

Spotting brown again today but not enough to show in a panty liner. However, today would be closer to when I might be spotting before my period. Although I'm pretty sure it usually starts bright red and also with more blood. Then again these are things I don't register much when I know I can't be pregnant.

I've been pregnant twice before. First time I didn't have any bleeding. Second time I had one day of pink and then nothing after that. So I'm kind of less hopeful now. Test still negative. Can get hold of early test tomorrow.

Will keep updated as most of these posts seem to be left unanswered.

Spotted more brown and pink again later on the day yesterday. Then today it turned more into what I'm used to with period spotting. I took an early pregnancy test and it was negative. Very confusing and disappointing. I was even nauseous the whole day today and mysteriously fatigued yesterday. But no baby.
