How did your HG start...?

And if you've had it more than once, did it start the same way or at the same time each pregnancy?

Had HG in my first pregnancy in 2022, but it wasnt diagnosed until the beginning of the second trimester. I can't remember all the little details of the early stages, though I don't think things started until about 8 weeks.

Now pregnant again and have already had excess burping, waves of nausea and what I think is heartburn by 6 weeks. Some of that feels familiar, like I had it last time...

My sickness started earlier in my second pregnancy too - infact pretty much all my symptoms started earlier, were more extreme and lasted longer this time round.

Mine started at 6 weeks. Really heightened sense of smell to everything, even tap water smelt chemically. I was sick all the time, couldn't even hold down water, until 24 weeks. Then it was like an overnight switch off and I was absolutely fine.

Sorry, meant to add it was almost identical for my 2nd pregnancy. 😫

Sorry to say I'm 37 weeks here and still suffering and throwing up daily in second pregnancy

Thanks everyone. It definitely looks like there is a trend that the second is sooner and worse than the first time.

@Ummusomebody funnily enough, I did worry that it was twins because it was so much earlier (it isn't, and I'm quite relieved!)

My first three pregnancies nausea started week 4-5, vomiting week 5-6, off work by week 7 and struggling to keep food or fluids down. First two pregnancies it was food but fluids were ok. Third pregnancy food was ok but I threw up any fluids.

Fourth pregnancy. Nausea started at what I now know to be week 6-7 pregnancy test (no period so didn't know how far along,) at week 7. Sick a couple of times started on xonvea and very little nausea vomiting only if I forget it. I think the meds are helping but also that the sickness isn't as bad. Having had hg twice in 6 months due to miscarriages it's a relief!
