Omega 3 in second trimester?

I’ve read that omega 3 is good to take in second trimester. I’ve been taking wild nutrition pregnancy multi supplements but when I ordered last batch I saw offer for omega 3 as well. Is it ok to just start taking or do I need to ask midwife? I’m currently 19 weeks with my first.

I took omega 3 dha epa algae supplements all the way through my pregnancy and nothing bad happened from it. I think it's supposed to be important for baby's brain.

Just check if you take any other medication. Because I was going to take it then had to take aspirin and you're not meant to take both as there's increased risks of damaging your stomach.

Thanks both for your replies. I’m not currently taking anything else other than supplements so I think I’ll be fine. I will start them today ☺️

I’ve taken wild nutrition omega 3 from the start of my pregnancy and I’m now 35 weeks so you should be good 😊

I’ve been taking a methyl micronutrient from
bio Care and a separate omega oil with high dha & epa plus 1000iu Vit d spray through out my pregnancy. This was advised to me by my fertility care specialists. I’ve had alot of blood tests to come up with this concoction of supplements so might be different doses for different people.
