Hiccups

I have started to notice what I can only assume is the baby having hiccups, they last a few minutes, way lighter than kicks and the sensation is every second or so. I felt them last night & then again this evening.
They are normal right?

My first born had hiccups all the time, it was the weirdest funniest feeling! Totally normal Smile

Yes, DC1 had this too!

SingingSands · 06/03/2025 16:42

Yes! I loved this, I can still remember it now (dc are 21 and 17 🤣) I recall that mine had a set time of day as well - something like 3pm in the afternoon was hiccup time!

Yes totally normal. My DS had them so often when I was pregnant I asked about it at an appointment and was told totally normal. He continues to have them very often since birth😂

Yep! And he’s now 5 months and gets them when he gets excited 😂

I'm 26 weeks and my baby gets hiccups pretty much daily. It's usually when I'm in bed. Maybe all my rolling around finding a comfortable position is causing it 😂

It's strange, when it started, I was trying to work out what it was!
Seems to be after dinner for me

Sounds like hiccups. My baby had them daily in the womb, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. He's now 7 weeks old and still get hiccups at least once a day.

My Dd had them all the time when I was pregnant. At 20 years old she still gets them a lot!
