Pelvic Pain

On and off for the last few days I’ve had bad pelvic pain on one side. It feels just like ovulation pain, possibly a bit more intense. It’s round my back. I’ve had other niggling pains on the right side but this just doesn’t seem to be going. I seem to be suffering with trapped wind so it eases when I’ve managed to rid that but it doesn’t disappear. I’ve also just been diagnosed with cysts on my kidneys but they should be painless (unless maybe one has burst).

Just wondering if anyone has had the same!

Could it be Pelvic Girdle Pain?

Hi

Could it be Pelvic Girdle Pain?

I don’t really know. I thought that started much later. I’ve not had any spotting or bleeding and the pain does come and go periodically (although has been horrible all day today) but can’t help worrying about a potential ectopic. I don’t know if I’m just more sensitive on that side. It is always that side that I get worse ovulation pain and I had pain like this for 6 days in October which I think was possibly a kidney cyst that burst.

How many weeks are you? It could also be round ligament pain, I had that from about 18 weeks onwards. However I had period type cramps in the beginning too which can be part of the early pregnancy symptoms.

if you are earlier, I’d say get checked out from the early pregnancy unit if you can. It’ll put your mind at ease and they might be able to suggest what could be causing you pain.

Just realised I missed that bit. I’m only 6 weeks. I’m going to see if it eases today and then call my gp. It’s definitely better than last night. Haven’t had a midwife appt or anything yet.

How did you get on? Hope everything’s ok

Thanks. I went to the EPU the next day and it was a pregnancy of unknown location. Took until last week for my HCG to drop but I didn’t need any treatment. Think the pain probably was because it was ectopic but too small to really see at 6 weeks. They said there was something “cyst-like” which may have been the pregnancy in my left tube.
