Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has been in this position; and what the outcome was.
We had our dating scan 13 weeks and it was mentioned baby had an NT of 3.8mm. We have suffered infant loss due to genetic condition a few months back, so was going to have testing regardless but this was unexpected news at dating scan.
I had CVS the next day and results came back baby doesn’t have Downs, Edward’s or Pataus. The array also came back clear. Our next result was to hear if this baby had the genetic condition our previous pregnancy did, which was again clear so everything has came back great so far. Can’t help but worry about this measurement from scan, we don’t have a scan until next month.

Hello, yes this was me about 8 years ago with my eldest daughter. She had 3.4mm NT. We also had the CVS and it was clear. We had an extra heart scan at 20 weeks and that was ok. We never had a reason for the higher NT reading, did make me a little sceptical about the whole process.

Try to relax, I remember scouring the neonatal pages and found a lot of stories with higher NT measurements and everything was fine after testing and babies arriving.

Thank you for getting back to me. So glad to hear another positive story. Lots of positive messages. Remaining hopeful for 20 week scan! 🫶🏼
