My 2 year old knows I'm pregnant... I don't know how!

So.. I found out a week ago that I am pregnant although I haven't told a sole except the EPU due to previous MC and ectopics etc. I just don't bother telling anyone until it's actually confirmed. However, I was laying in bed with my 2 year old last night and she pointed at my tummy and said "tummy, baby" and proceeded to put her head on my belly and say.. it's okay baby! Then gave my tummy and kiss and then started bouncing on the bed like nothing happened?!

I'm not sure if I have a psychic 2 year old 😂 but no one else knows yet so I'd like for her not to tell anyone 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm only about 5/6 weeks so no visible signs etc! There is no way she could know.. only I know!

Has anyone else's toddlers picked up on pregnancy?

Either overheard you or just did it and it so happens you’re pregnant. I have had to tell my kids plenty of times that I am not in fact pregnant…

Firstly congratulations you're also the same stage as me. I will be six weeks on Friday as for your daughter doing that my daughter did exactly the same but she is full. I have not told her and she did the same as yours by saying mummy your tummy is big there's a baby inside. I was gob smacked!!

When I was about 5 weeks pregnant my three year old randomly said "You've got a baby in your boob". I just told her that's a funny place to have a baby and she hasn't mentioned it since.

(I'm now 10 weeks but like you I've had multiple miscarriages - including one at 17 weeks - so we don't tell anyone until well after the first trimester, although this time I'm going to have to tell work sooner than I would like.)

My (then) 3 year old started telling her nursery teacher and friends that there was a baby in mummy’s tummy. A few weeks later I had a positive test… 🤷🏻‍♀️
