37 weeks poop/gas pains but can't go?

I'm currently 37+1, I've been to the bathroom maybe 5-6 times today thinking I need to poop but each time I either can't or I'm only passing a tiny bit. I do have quite a bit gas. I think baby has moved down recently as the heaviness is a lot more prominent especially if I'm on my feet for long periods of time, the lower back aches get pretty bad. Could this be a possible sign that labour is close? It's frustrating that I feel like I need to poop a lot and can't!

This was my labour. I felt like I needed a gigantic 💩. It was like really bad constipation. I had a nice warm bath yo help ease the discomfort. I didn't really have pain as such. Just discomfort.

36+4 here and feeling the same.

Had a growth scan today and baby is low down in my pelvis now so lots of pressure on my bowels and bladder.
