Hello!

What are your best snack suggestions?! I’m struggling to know what to buy!

Do you mean for sickness or just general pregnancy snacks? What trimester are you in?

There is very little actually forbidden in pregnancy - most of the NHS guidance is around how something is prepared, cooked etc - so you can have most things.

I'm 36+4 and mostly snack on tortilla chips with hummus, cheese and crackers, any kind of fruit, Greek yoghurt with honey, olives and crumpets with lurpack butter. (Not got much appetite these days so I live on these things more than actual meals)

In the first trimester when my sickness and food aversions were at their worst, I survived almost entirely on plain salted crackers, salt and vinegar crisps and melon.

Following for inspiration.. 6 weeks pregnant and the nausea is really bad. Thankfully no actual vomiting yet but all I can eat is oranges, rocket (with more balsamic than green) and plain chicken. Everything else makes me 🤢

Definitely depends where you are in terms of weeks. At the beginning I always wants bland carbs eg toast, crisps, cereal, plain pizza.

now in third trimester and still don’t want veg but currently munching on mango

agree aversions are the worst. My husband cooked a roast chicken which I asked for plain and he put tandoori spice all over it and I could have vomited and cried

Sorry should have been clearer! I’m 12 weeks and have got HG which has made me feel horrendous!
