This bit of pregnancy is CRAP! I feel great, but my favourite jeans are officially Too Tight

They are my small-size jeans (for me anyway hehe) after dieting since September and I was chuffed to bits when I bought them.

STruggled around in tehm all day today then gave in at teatime and undid the button and zip

DH told me off as my tum was all creased and red

BOLLOCKS

Luckily I don't have to succumb to maternity just yet as I have some old "fat" jeans that I can pull in with a belt (my cunning plan)

The in between bit is indeed crap.

Normal clothes - just a bit too tight to be comfortable.

Maternity clothes - too big and you spend most of your time hitching them up.

MamaG · 11/05/2008 20:02

and you don't look pregnant, you just look like a heifer (sorry heifer)

When I'm struggling into my normal clothes I spend all my time sucking my stomach in so I don't look pregnant.

Then as soon as I wear my maternity clothes I feel I have to stick my stomach out so I look pregnant and not fat (or should I say, not fatter than usual?!)

MamaG · 11/05/2008 20:51

ITs weird isn't it, I do that as well

i never bothered with maternity clothes, a few larger size jeans, jogging bottoms wer essential and light floaty summer dresses saw me through, was heavy in winter and hardly needed a coat as i was so hot all the time!

beforesunrise · 12/05/2008 10:10

sorry, can't say i feel very sorry for you ....

i am 39 +5, my maternity clothes no longer fit, am really hot and bothered and in a foul mood, can't sleep a wink and just want baby out.

now THIS bit of pregnancy is truly crap believe you me!

MamaG · 12/05/2008 11:16

Ah I remember it well, beforesunrise! When I was pg with DD, sh ewas due in August and I was HUGE - it was extremely hot and I used to sit in my flat with all the windows open, luckily it wasn't overlooked at all, NAKED on the sofa just willing the baby out

lily - I can't bear jogging bottoms, pg or not!

MamaG - If you look as half as good as I do then you are doing well.. ...

MamaG, keep the skinny jeans for after the birth, it does help to get rid of the extra weight, gives you something physical to focus on.

MamaG · 12/05/2008 12:50

ooh NJ congratulations I didn't know yo wre pg! When are you due?
