I'm currently taking Vit D, Folic Acid, Omegas (algae) and Calcium and have ordered the Zita West Choline.

I'm literally losing sleep over this, thinking that I'm missing out on something major!

I conceived through IVF (currently early stages, only 5 weeks and 4 days) hence the heightened anxiety.

Hey, vegetarian here, the only thing the midwives ever mentioned to me was that they might want to monitor iron levels and do an iron supplement if they got low. I’m doing a pregnancy multivitamin plus Omega-3. I’d have an eye on B12 levels as well. All of this you’d get from a good (vegan) pregnancy multivitamin (plus Omega-3).

I wouldn’t lose sleep over it! Everything you’ve listed makes a lot of sense but ultimately the odds are in your favour for a successful pregnancy regardless of what supplements you take - and conversely if the pregnancy is sadly unsuccessful it almost certainly won’t be because you failed to pop the right tablet. It’s understandable to want to find some control in a very out-of-control stage of the process, but driving yourself crazy over finding the perfect supplement regime is probably unnecessary.

Thanks for the response! What multivitamin do you take out of curiosity? Appreciate it multivitamin be suitable for vegans.

I’m using Zita West Vital Essence 2 atm, which is marketed as vegan and is silly expensive and probably a gimmick but I am managing my own anxiety over lack of control of the process by forking out for a posh multivitamin. (:shrug emoji:)

In my pure panic, anxious state I have just also bought these (essence 1) 🤣🤣. I looked through the ingredients and they look premium! Have you used zita west throughout? X

I was on the Zita West prenatal, then swapped onto a basic Folic Acid + D +C for a lot of the first trimester as I was taking Xonvea for nausea which has B6 in it and didn't want to accidentally take too much of that. Now off the Xonvea so onto the Zita West 2nd Tri supplement.
