OPKs showing not showing positive for pregnancy

First of all, I know OPKs are designed to test for LH rather than HCG, but I know they can confuse the two.

I am 4w6d, have had positive HCG tests from 9dpo, but OPKs remain resolutely negative 🤷‍♀️. I'm pretty sure I was getting blazing positives on both with my previous pregnancy. I have had strong positives on a variety of HCG brands, including a CB weeks indicator showing 2-3 a couple of days ago.

Has anyone else experienced this? OPKs not picking up on a pregnancy this late?

I guess I'm twitchy as I'm 42, this had taken 3 years, during which time I had an early MC and a CP, plus a little bit of bleeding (mostly brown) yesterday, so it would be great to have some reassurance that it's not a harbinger of doom!

The one step opks never showed positive in my 1st pregnancy and now the same with 2nd pregnancy

Thanks, that's reassuring it's not just me. It was just my first pregnancy I tried it out with previously, I didn't with my second. I'm just foxed because a) I'd always thought it was a given and b) I'm pretty sure my normal baseline LH on a standard cycle is higher than this 🤪. I just need to stop panicking I guess. What will be will be regardless of OPKs.

Opks never showed pos for me when pregnant. That's not their purpose either.

I think for me it may have been a bad sign. I started bleeding on Sunday (I should be 6+1 today). Also, whilst I was thinking the One Steps looked ok, I didn't get near dye-stealer territory, and a CB digi didn't flip to 3+ weeks when expected this Sunday.
