Midwife booking appointment

Does anyone know if you’re expected to take a urine sample with you to your first midwife booking appointment or do you do it when there? The midwife didn’t say when she emailed me so I wanted to get the general consensus?

You always do them when there!

I think it varies. I always have to take a sample with me.

I get sent home with a sample pot as my midwife asks for a sample of first pee of the day. I drop it off at the surgery a day or so later.

I had to do one when I was there, but she gave me a sample pot for me to bring with me for the next time

I always do it mid appointment

If it's your first appointment then they will probably ask for it on the day as most people won't have a pot at home.

Subsequent appointments, I've always been given a pot to take home and bring with me at the next appointment

We always have to come with one - I got there earlier for the booking appointment to make sure I could grab a pot and do it! Then after the first, I'm given one at the end of every appointment to come to the next one with x

I've always done mine at the appointments x
