Ok so I don't know if I'm over thinking everything but I had my booking appointment the other week and emailed this week to ask if my blood results were back and if all looked ok HCG wise for the amount of weeks I am.
I got an email back saying they were and that I need iron supplements and asking me for my GP details but not answering the HCG question. .
I then responded with my details and asked if all seemed ok with regards to HCG levels as I have my first scan next week and am obviously quite anxious (I have anxiety, this is in my notes.
They responded back answering all but the question about HCG levels and saying they had ordered the iron supplements.
I have now emailed back again asking directly if they could confirm whether they're not allowed to answer the HCG level question because now it's just really stressing me out as they've purposely avoided that question twice which is making me feel like something is wrong 😔
Any ideas on this?

@indigo277 I totally understand why this is making you anxious—it would stress me out too if they kept dodging the question. It’s frustrating when they don’t just give a straight answer, especially when they know how much reassurance it could provide.

It could just be that they don’t routinely report HCG levels at this stage, or they don’t want to interpret numbers without a scan, but I get why it feels like they’re hiding something. Hopefully, your follow-up email gets a clear answer. You absolutely deserve that transparency, especially given your history and anxiety being in your notes.

Try to hold onto the fact that if something majorly concerning had come up in your blood work, they likely would have flagged it properly rather than just avoiding the question. But I know that’s easier said than done! Sending you all the strength—I hope they finally give you the reassurance you need.

You should be able to login online and view them. Sounds like they said they’re fine. I think it’s hard to tell if there is an issue without doing hcg 48 hours apart. If your having your scan soon it sounds as if they’re in the right range.

Does your trust use badger notes? The results should be on there.
I was never told my hcg levels in early pregnancy or any other results unless it is something that needs actioning

Did they definitely test for hcg? It's not routine on NHS. They'd also need to test 48hrs after. Doubling matters more than the number. Also by the booking appointment the number means little.
