I just been hearing that first babies you are likely to go over, but so many people say they had their first at 37+1 or 38+2 ect!
my hubby is at work (away) until I will be 37+3 and now getting anxious he might miss the birth

Everyone said that to me too but I had my first at 38 weeks exactly. Oddly, 7 out of the 8 other couples in my NCT group also gave birth before 40 weeks, all at 38-39 weeks…

I was 41+1. I think you'll probably get an even mix of answers saying their baby was early/late/on time, and it won't tell you whether you will be a 37 weeker or a 41 weeker, every woman and baby is different. If there's no chance he can come earlier, make sure you have a plan (birthing partner, transport etc) in place. Hoping for you that baby waits until after he's back with you. Good luck!

35+5

Waters went one evening and went down to hospital and ended up in emergency c section! He's 4 weeks old now!

Beeches24 · 01/03/2025 13:14

Statically you're more likely to go overdue.

I went into labour with first on my due date but didn't actually give birthday until 0055hrs so he was born 40weeks plus 1.

Phunkychicken · 01/03/2025 13:16

36+5! Others were both over 40 weeks, I had a lot of bleeding which they said was due to the placenta and warned he may be early. I always knew he would be early, same as I knew I was pregnant each time immediately

Squidtentacles · 01/03/2025 13:31

DS was born at 38+6. We DTD that morning so I always wonder if we helped it along but no way of knowing really!

TimeForSprings · 01/03/2025 13:32

DS1 39+6
DS2 40+0

KnickerlessParsons · 01/03/2025 13:42

About 12 days late with no 1 child (although I wasn't sure about date of last period) and about 12 days early with no 2 child. I'd only finished work 2 days before.

tulipsunday · 01/03/2025 13:42

42+1 (two sweeps but no other induction)

muddlingthrou · 01/03/2025 13:48

37+5 for my first, my waters went the day before with no warning.

So it was a bit of a shock to the system when I had to be induced with my second at 40 weeks!

JoyousEagle · 01/03/2025 13:49

Due date

cramptramp · 01/03/2025 13:49

2 weeks early.

Jay3004 · 01/03/2025 13:50

My little boy was born at 34 weeks - zero warning, my waters just went during the night.

IdaClair · 01/03/2025 13:50

42 weeks and 3 days

WooYa · 01/03/2025 13:51

DS was born on his due date. DD was born at 39w via csection.

MaltipooMama · 01/03/2025 13:59

40+3 for my first! My second is due in July so I'm intrigued as to whether or not this time I'll go past due date again

ttcnumero1 · 01/03/2025 15:08

37+6, waters went the morning of 37+5, contractions started that afternoon. 4cm dilated at 3am 37+6, baby out at 4am 37+6!

CouldYouMindThatBaby · 01/03/2025 15:11

4 days overdue, went into labour naturally at 3 days overdue, gave birth on a Sunday which made it 4 days overdue.

Swearwolf · 01/03/2025 15:14

I was on my due date! Of my Nct group, all first babies, half were early and half were late. I don't think you can guess!

Growsomeballswoman · 01/03/2025 15:14

30+4

newtb · 01/03/2025 15:31

40+0 9 hr labour weighed 7lbs 2oz. Completely average.

Killerqueenie · 01/03/2025 15:44

36+3 with my first- but was induced due to pre-eclampsia and ended in emergency section.

My waters broke with my second at 38 weeks, but labour didn't progress, so was another section.

BebbanburgIsMine · 01/03/2025 15:50

DD1 32 weeks
DD2 31 weeks

Both were in the SCBU for a while, but no long lasting effects

Monstermashermashedthemonster · 01/03/2025 15:58

Rocknrollstar · 01/03/2025 16:09
