12 week scan has sent me spiralling

Hi all,

I had my 12 week scan a week ago now and been back and forth with all the information available. I have a bad habitat of thinking worst case with everything!

my first try of the scan I was too early (date wise at 11 weeks) and had to come back where baby would not get into the correct position now matter what I did!

The sonographer didn’t really say a lot during the scan and kept the light on in the room so was hard for us to see anything! The scan quality wasnt the best compared to our 11 week one and can’t make anything out!

im having the quad test at 15 weeks but I knows its not as accurate!

Just looking for some reassurance I guess to try and settle my anxiousness!

They'd have told you if there was a problem. It's such an anxiety inducing time, I know.

Why do you have to do the quad test rather than the more accurate combined test? I’d push for that before the 14 week cut off.

If there was an issue they would have told you and made you an appointment to see an consultant. It would also state any issues on the paperwork they put in your book. (at the bottom somewhere it says normal pregnancy or if there are issues on mine)

Its hard but them not saying anything means there is nothing unusual to report at this stage.

That looks like a perfectly normal scan for how far you are, its not the best but is a nice profile pic x
