TMI! 4 weeks and 6 days

I'm 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant and for the last 4 days I've had on and off spotting varied in color pink slight brown little red but only spotting when I wipe nothing in toilet, I rang my GP yesterday they said its too early to do a scan at this stage and she wasn't too worried about it and said because it's not heavy or clots or not in any pain she said possibly implantation bleeding or a hormonal bleeding advised that I jsuy keep and eye on it and do another test in 2 weeks time, I have had a chemical previously I didn't spot or any symptoms I just bled bright red blood for 3 days like a period but this is just on and off everyday so far this is 4th day has anyone else had any light spotting bleeding at this stage of pregnancy?

I had a lot of spotting with my second baby, it lasted from weeks 5-8 and was on and off, some times only when I wiped and other times in my underwear. I kept having scans and couldn’t see a reason for it so they put it down to an irritated cervix. It would also be worse after having sex. My baby is almost a year now!

I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s stressful as you want to enjoy the fact you’re newly pregnant but feel like you’re frozen as you don’t know what’s going to happen.

Your gp is right, sadly there’s nothing that can happen just now. Keep an eye on it, if it turns heavier or you start to feel any pain then contact your gp again. You could just now book a private scan for 6 weeks for some reassurance.

I’m around 6 weeks 6 days and I started spotting yesterday, it started as just pink streaks when I wiped but it’s started to go on my underwear now, I rang the non emergency line to see if I could speak to anyone lastnight and they said to just keep an eye on it, if it gets worse go to a&e but if it stays the same ring my GP on Monday, I’m not having any pain and it’s still only pink in colour

They said that to me to keep and eye on it I'm 5 weeks today and still spotting same colour not bright red or anything I got told by gp yesterday that some women spot for no reason or could be hormonal spotting but said of I'm still spotting next week they will send me for an early scan at 6 weeks to make sure all is okay, but said not to worry unless there is heavy bleeding with clots etc my spotting is mainly when I go for first wee of the day I notice it then throughout day hardly nothing really but im still on edge and try not to worry it's hard after a early loss..

As long as its not bright red fresh blood and your in no pain or heavy bleeding I wouldn't worry hun but just keep checking the spotting.

Hi, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had brown spotting from 5 weeks with my second pregnancy. I paid for a private scan at 7 weeks as I was so worried and baby was fine. It lasted until 11 weeks then stopped and baby came with no other complications and very healthy. Crossing everything for you.

Gp is sending me for a scan next week once I hit 6 weeks just juay check things over at first mentioned a UTI since it's only when I wipe will get that check tomorrow to rule that out.. I've had 2 live births and spotted a little not as long as this it's been a week nearly now.

There's so many scary stories that makes my anxiety worse I have to test everyday to make sure if I don't I go out my mind it's horrible all the worry I will be glad when I have a scan to ease myself a little.

UPDATE! 5 weeks 4 days i'm currently going through a miscarriage passed the tissue today been prescribed some medication to slow down bleeding down not lots just like a heavy period devastated after trying for i months second loss 😢 before 6 weeks been told I need to see a gynaecologist to find out why it keeps happening maybe low protestarone hopefully next pregnancy will be healthy I pray. 🙏 🤲 thank you all for you support ita cruel what we go through sometimes.

Awwww @Lisaaustin90 I'm so sorry. I'm glad they're talking about exploring the reasons but just take time to grieve for now. Sending you so much love and luck for the future xx
