Lost mucus plug at 20 weeks

Hiya

I’ve just been to the toilet and have seen on the tissue what looks like my mucus plug

TMI - long, 2inch glob of jelly mucus, clear/snot colour

This is my 5th baby so I’ve seen mucus plugs before when in early labour and it looked exactly like that

Slightly panicking because I’m only 20 weeks, has anyone experienced anything like this at this point?

Baby was moving when I went to bed around 9pm

Hi

This can be quite normal as it grows back but ring your maternity unit for better advice

CatCaretaker · 28/02/2025 04:33

I didn't have this, but I would ring your midwife / hospital for advice. As above though, it can grow back apparently.

Nevesleep · 28/02/2025 04:48

Was it bloody ?

If its not bloody it can and often does grow back. If there was blood I would go along to your maternity assessment unit as soon as you can

Thanks for the replies, it wasn’t bloody just looked like snot
I think I’ll call triage this morning and see what they suggest
I did feel baby move at around 3am which eased the anxiety a little!
