Pregnancy test confusion

Hi everyone just looking for some advice on pregnancy tests. I’m currently 10 days late for my period and have done a few tests over the weekend with mixed results. Went to the doctors yesterday and their test came back negative, but they didn’t really give any explanation on why I did have some positive tests. I’m trying to just accept it as a negative since that’s what they said but just wondering what others opinions/experiences are. They did say to test again in a few weeks if still no period as may have been too early so there’s still that tiny flicker of hope.

Hey! Sorry you’re going through such a confusing time! It could be evap lines on your tests, the clear blue ones are notorious for that. If you had the positive results in the 5-10 minute window but have subsequently had negative tests, it could be down to a chemical pregnancy.

Did you GP do a blood test at all? This would show any pregnancy hormone and could be repeated to check whether this is increasing or decreasing to give a definite answer for you x

No GP didn’t do a blood test, just said for me to do another test in another week if still no bleeding or anything. Did think maybe chemical pregnancy but then wasn’t sure when you would get bleeding for it as so far I’ve had nothing. Is just so confusing but good to know to avoid the CB tests!
