Just wondering if there are any other type 1s out there that are currently pregnant? I’m 7 weeks at the moment and it’s going ok, although I’m already very insulin resistant and struggling to hit pregnancy targets.

hoping there’s other women out there, so we can support each other :-)

Are you on or been offered a pump OP?
Preconception and pregnancy are a priority for Hybrid Closed Loop pumps. Get in touch with your diabetes team. The Ypsopump or Dana I with the CamAPS app is gold standard treatment.
We are putting all our women planning a pregnancy on, and anyone who is pregnant is offered one as soon as they tell us.

Hi! Thank you, yes I’m on the Omnipod 5 and moving over to the ypsopump in two weeks time. TIR currently about 65% in the tight range which my consultant is ok with. On the Omnipod I just can’t set target any lower than 6.1 which means I’m not hitting targets overnight.

it sounds like you know quite a bit about pregnancy and type 1? I’m slightly worried about moving onto the ypso as many people I’ve spoken to have ran quite high whilst the system ‘learns’ them and I’m super worried about harming the baby in any way

I work with people with type 1 and pumps. The Ypsopump is brilliant much better than a pod. The app is easy to use
It will take the algorithm a few days to get you, but we have women running >80% time in pregnancy range.

That’s incredible. Fingers crossed the transition will be straightforward!
