Holiday to Turkey whilst 15 weeks

Has anyone been on holiday to turkey whilst pregnant and found everything was ok? We already had it booked and have just found out we are pregnant and will be around 15/16 weeks whilst there.
I've gotten myself worked up about the zika virus although it says no cases have been reported in Turkey but mosquitoes that can carry the virus have been found although not in the area where we are staying.

Is it safe to go? Will of course check with midwife when appointment comes around but would love to hear about personal experiences!

I went to Turkey when 30 weeks and everything was fine. I didn't actually consider virus' you have mentioned, so prehaps mention it to the midwife. But I wouldn't worry!

I didn't either until I googled travelling when pregnant and it's the first thing that came up, it's my first pregnancy so not sure of the do's and don'ts yet!

I was living in Turkey until I moved back to the UK at 26 weeks pregnant. It's absolutely fine.

Absolutely fine :) all I'd say is just be weary if it's hot, make sure you don't stay in the sun too long! I got heat stroke very easily when I was in Spain at 6weeks pregnant (a lot earlier than you though) and I don't know how true it is, but they say you burn easier when pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️ just drink plenty and keep shaded and you'll be fine! Have a lovely time!
