Did anyone else experience this?
Since about midnight I was having cramps in my back every 10 mins lasting 30-40 secs..fast forward to 3pm now every 7 mins lasting around 50-60 secs

The pains soley in my back, almost like someone's squeezing and twisting things in my lower back and the pain radiates down my bum thighs and around my hips! My belly tightens but no pain at all.

I'm due a c section on Wednesday and have spoke to triage who have advised to go up as soon as they are either too painful to talk through or coming every 3-5 mins so I can get my section asap!

I'm in denial that this is actually perhaps labour coming on🫣 first time mum though so may be a while yet until there frequent enough and unbearable😅

My second labour all contractions were in my back - or at least that’s where I was feeling them. Ds2 was lying back to back which is probably why - but yes, this could well be labour so I’d get on to whoever you need to, good luck!

Yes, the pain was all in my back for both my births.

I wouldn't be hanging about if I were you.

Thank you ladies 🙂 I did call triage and they said it does sound like early labour but my section will only be pulled forward from Wednesday if the contractions get frequent enough or unbearably painful so I'll reside at home for now and try and rest incase things pick up fast and I have a whole human to care for on no sleep😅

I'm due an ELCS soon and my understanding is any signs of labour you should get your section asap. It's crazy they want you in active labour before giving a section.

Midwife said that contractions 7 mins apart could easily just die off and be nothing at this late stage of pregnancy hence why they wouldn't do my section earlier before knowing I'm definitely in progressive active labour. I could go to hospital and wait there to see if they get closer so I'm there ready to go for the section but tbh I'd rather be comfy at home resting. I could be waiting hours/days to go into active labour and id prefer that time to rest as much as possible before I give birth🥰

Mine were all in my back. Baby was back to back.

Echoing others here, with my first baby all my contractions were in my back as my little girl was back to back. Best of luck 🥰

Thanks all - seems I may make it to my section on Wednesday after all! Still getting the pains but still only 7 mins apart after 6 hours!!
