8 weeks and cramping with flecks of blood

Hi friends,

Looking for a bit of a handhold. Unexpectedly but happily pregnant with my second. I have grade 1-2 uterine prolapse, which I understand increases my miscarriage risk. I saw some flecks of blood while wiping and have been cramping for sometime now.

Anyone experience something similar with a happy outcome?

Hey @Matthew54 how are you doing now? How many weeks are you? I have uterine and bladder prolapse from forceps delivery with my first. I bled from the very start of my second pregnancy and had a very heavy bleed at 8 weeks. Assumed I was miscarrying but scan showed all fine and she’s now 12 months old. I don’t think there’s any evidence that prolapse is a risk factor for miscarriage. It’s so incredibly common. I hope everything goes ok for you x

I have light pink when I wipe but no clots and no cramps. I’ve been sobbing, honestly. It took me so long to get pregnant and I just feel like something is “wrong”.

I called and they said to monitor for 24 hours and then call back. I’m hoping it stops but it doesn’t seem likely.

How many weeks are you? Light pink with no cramps and clots sounds promising. How are your other symptoms like nausea?

im so sorry you’re in pieces, I know what it’s like I’ve been there several times as had two early losses before my first pregnancy and bled in both pregnancies. I hope you have someone to support you and snuggles with your little one x

I’m dated 8.5 weeks but more closer to 7.5 based on my viability scan

Yes, I’m incredibly grateful for my oldest at the moment. He’s a joy.

I am just absolutely blaming myself at the moment. I should have slept more, not gone to that exercise class, etc.

Put those thoughts out of your mind. However this ends, it isn’t your fault!
just keep your lovely little boy’s face in the foreground of your mind. He is your world and will get you through anything

Hi OP, I was literally you yesterday/this morning. I’m 9 weeks today and yesterday I woke up to cramps, had them all day (still have them today) felt different to ones I had before and then in the evening started to spot but only when I wiped. Feared the absolute worse. I did go for a private scan today and everything was fine, little bean was wriggling away and waving their arm. Hopefully it’s the same for you 🙏🏼

Thanks everyone. I haven’t seen anymore blood. I’m going to try and be scanned tomorrow or go be seen privately.

I’m going to be seen this afternoon. I didn’t bleed overnight but have seen some red streaks when wiping this morning.

Unfortunately, there was no heartbeat and I’ve had a missed miscarriage. We’re obviously heartbroken but I had anticipated this would be the case. It looks like the fetus stopped developing about a week ago.
