Hi,

I'm hoping to hear from others with similar experiences. I have just tested a very very faint positive. My period is due in 5 days.

I have had 6 pregnancies and always had symptoms way before I test positive. I don't have any symptoms at all which is very unusual for me

I know each pregnancy is different but just preparing for a chemical. I've had a few missed misscariages so a bit anxious.

Thank you very much in advance.

I've been pregnant twice and never had any symptoms before missing a period

I'm so sorry for your previous losses. I've just tested positive today and am due my period tomorrow. I've got no symptoms and its come as a surprise. When I fell pregnant with my second baby who's now a healthy 2yo, I also had no symptoms for some time and it was also a total surprise to test positive. Hope that helps make you feel a little better

@LO1418 I'm so glad to read this. I'm 4 weeks (tested positive a few days ago) with my 6th pregnancy. 2 children, 2 first trimester losses and one second trimester loss. I feel nothing. Finding it hard to believe I am pregnant and keep forgetting. Previous pregnancies had sore boobs, nausea and tiredness whatever the outcome. Wondering whether it's just too early and it will come

Lemonyfire thanks so much for your message. Have you done anymore tests? Is the line getting darker?

Fingers crossed for you. It's just so hard when the other pregnancies were so symptomatic isn't it x

@LO1418 so historically I've fallen into the overtesting trap.

Most recently last January I had a mc at 8 weeks and obsessively tested, had CB go from 1-2 up to 3+ and for some reason did another that then went down. Had 2 weeks of despair before finding out I'd lost the baby. I had loads of symptoms that didn't tell me anything.

I then was pregnant again in May, so after one non digital , I did one digital to confirm ( simple pregnant/ not pregnant no weeks indicator) sadly we lost her at 16 weeks but everything progressed normally prior to that and I had no symptoms.

This time I'm doing the same. I had a faint line, did a digital that said pregnant and I won't rest again, as all it does is fill me with terror without giving me any answers!

I'm so sorry sounds very traumatic, I don't blame you for being anxious.

I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks in Decmber, continued to have strong symptoms and strong tests even though the baby had unknowingly stopped growing.

I suppose this tells us that symptoms don't mean anything and hopefully we will go on the have healthy pregnancies. Fingers crossed xx

@LO1418 you are right. I'm really trying not to over analyse as it won't change the outcome, and instead focus on the fact that I am pregnant right now.
I'm so sorry for your loss too and I hope you're being gentle with yourself xx

First time round I had no noticeable symptoms at all; the 'strength' of pregnancy symptoms is not a sign of how robust a pregnancy is or not

LO1418 · 24/02/2025 19:10

Lemonyfire let me know how you get on. Sending positive thoughts. And congratulations 😁
