No fetal pole?

How quickly can a fetal pole disappear at 6 weeks? I had 2 scans, 2 days apart. In the first scan (private) a fetal pole was found (2.8mm CRL) and in the second scan which was a referral to the NHS because they picked up on a bleed, there was no fetal pole detected. She just said she couldn’t see one, but could see a yolk sac. Could it be that she just couldn’t see it? First scan was trans abdominal, second was trans vaginal. The attached picture is a photo of the fetal pole from the first scan.

@Jennyftb I know this is a few months ago but how did this turn out for you? My experience is that sometimes the equipment is really poor. Could it have been that the NHS machine was older and much more blurry than the one from the private scan?

@Ladybug320 our baby’s heart stopped at 9 and a half weeks. I had a missed misscarrage diagnosis at our 12 week scan. There was a large sub chorionic hematoma present from the beginning. I think it was just too big for the baby to survive but that’s just my guess. We will never know. But the good news at the time was that our baby did start to grow and develop. We saw the heartbeat at 9 weeks and even saw movement. We were just unlucky in the end
