I previously had social workers involved with my first child, long story short it was due to his father but with no contact the case was closed after a few months. 4 and a half years later I am now pregnant with my second child. Will social services want to be in contact with me again due to a second child? Any advice or experience would be appreciated

Not from personal experience, but I know usually if one child has been involved with social services, they will always keep an eye on other children. They may arrange a visit, or have you on a keep an eye list. It's not because you've done anything wrong, it's just they want to ensure full safety

They'll probably do a quick phone call to check you are still not seeing anyone that you shouldn't be and all will be OK
