Look around you. Look at the people who remarkably have managed to keep their kids alive, and realise you'll be absolutely fine!

Everything’s a phase or a stage—sleep regressions, teething… all of it! It can be tough, but try to make the most of every moment because they truly are fleeting. Getting into a routine quickly can make a world of difference with sleep (just my opinion). And don’t forget to get out and about—fresh air can work wonders, and socializing helps too. Being a mum can feel lonely sometimes, especially during those long maternity leave days.

But amidst all the challenges, there’s an indescribable joy that comes with being a mother. The giggles, the cuddles, and the way their little eyes light up when they see you—those moments make every sleepless night worth it. You get to watch them discover the world, and in turn, they teach you to see the magic in the simplest things. It’s exhausting, yes, but it’s also the most rewarding adventure you’ll ever have. So, hang in there and soak up the beautiful chaos.

And don’t stress about the housework—it can wait. Seriously. Those newborn cuddles won’t last forever, so soak them up while you can. And sleep when the baby sleeps (seriously!). After my second baby, I wished I’d listened to this advice more the first time around. Also, investing in a good sling or carrier can be a game-changer—sometimes just wearing the baby, even around the house, helps keep them settled (or just enjoy having them close).
