Hi, new here and hoping someone out there has some experience of what i’m going through. I had a ruptured ectopic in 2022 resulting in emergency surgery and the loss of my left tube.
I have just gone through surgery (3 weeks ago) for a second ectopic pregnancy found in the stump of my left tube that was left from previous surgery. I have been recovering physically quite well. Until 3 days ago I had severe pain on my left side again, EPU advised to take a pregnancy test. It was a strong positive on the test, which was a shock. Back into EPU and they have found there is pregnancy tissue growing again in the stump, so surgery was not 100% successful. I was admitted for two nights for monitoring whilst doctors discussed. They offered me surgery or methotrexate injection, I chose to have methotrexate injection which was administered yesterday. I’m worried i’ve not made the right decision, as I am still in pain on my left side. Has anyone had an experience of failed surgery? Had tissue still growing? and had succesful methotrexate treatment afterwards? Sorry for the long post!
