Hi, I am 5 weeks pregnant and on day 3 of chicken pox. My LB caught them and passed them onto me and I must've been in the incubation period when I found out I am pregnant. I did not have CP as a child.
When I called the Dr's they offered an urgent blood test and when they called with the result of 'no immunity' the first couple of spots had already started to appear. I was prescribed acyclivir the same day.
I am covered in spots and was very ill for the first 2 days with flu like symptoms. Now I'm starting to have enough energy to think, I'm scared about what harm this will cause baby.
Are there any success stories out there? Anyone that can reassure me? Feeling very scared and sad. Will call the Dr's on Monday.
